Generator Hire
Generator hire for events, sites and productions: JCB Stage V sets at 18kVA and 40kVA, the Show Works 45kVA Micro Grid for cleaner, quieter hybrid running, and an 880L Transcube fuel tank for longer deployments.
Power is where an event either works or does not, so generator hires from us are specified as systems: the set, the distribution, the cabling and the cable ramp all come from one warehouse and are designed together. Tell us the loads — sound, lighting, video, catering, site power — and we will size the supply with sensible headroom.
One generator carries the whole site, and the fuel cube keeps it running between visits.

How do I know what size generator I need?
Send us the kit list or the trader/supplier load sheets. We size from the real loads with headroom for motors and cold starts rather than guessing from floor area.
What is the Micro Grid?
A Show Works 45kVA hybrid system that pairs generation with battery storage — the set runs at efficient load or shuts down entirely while batteries carry quiet periods, cutting fuel, noise and runtime.
Can you supply distribution and cabling with the generator?
Yes — Powerlock, three-phase and single-phase cable, MERZ and Show Works distro, and cable ramp are all in stock, so the whole power system arrives together.
What about fuel for longer hires?
The 880L Transcube extends runtime for multi-day deployments; for longer site installations we can help you plan refuelling.
Can you sign off my power system once installed?
Yes - we can provided BS7909 Certification for temporary power set ups. Get in touch with your needs and we can provide a quote.
