The EM Acoustics DQ10 is a four-channel, 2U Class-D system amplifier with onboard DSP. It delivers up to 1,500 W per channel at 8 ohms and 2,500 W per channel at 4 or 2 ohms. A bridged channel pair can provide up to 5,000 W into 4 ohms.
Choose the configuration from the loudspeaker load and EM Acoustics’ amplifier-capability guidance, not from the headline wattage alone. Cabinet impedance, parallel wiring, processing and limiter settings all matter.
Inputs, outputs and DSP
The DQ10 has four analogue inputs, two AES3 digital inputs and four processed amplifier outputs. Models fitted with the optional Dante card add four channels of Dante audio; the standard Ethernet port is for control and monitoring.
Its 96 kHz DSP provides routing, gain, delay, filters, EQ, phase control, crossovers and loudspeaker limiters on the inputs and outputs. Factory presets are supplied for EM Acoustics loudspeakers, with additional controls for system and venue alignment.
Four speakON NL4 connectors carry the speaker outputs. Analogue and AES3 connections use XLR, with link outputs for feeding further amplifiers.
Rack and power
The DQ10 is 2U high, 357 mm deep including handles and rear support, and weighs 12.5 kg. It uses a 32 A powerCON mains inlet and accepts 85–240 V AC. The supply and distribution must be chosen for the expected amplifier load; do not assume that a domestic 13 A outlet is suitable for every system.
Keep the front-to-rear cooling path clear and allow rear space for the mains, signal and loudspeaker connectors.
