The Yamaha CL1 is a 48 kHz digital mixing console with 48 mono input channels, eight stereo input channels, 24 mix buses and eight matrices. Its compact control surface is designed to work with remote Dante stage boxes rather than providing a large bank of local microphone sockets.
Local and Dante I/O
The console has eight local analogue inputs and eight analogue outputs. Built-in Dante provides 64 inputs and 64 outputs through primary and secondary ports, allowing connection to Yamaha Rio and other compatible Dante devices.
Dante redundancy requires separate primary and secondary network paths. Stage boxes, switches and cable must be specified for the system; connecting both ports to the same unmanaged path does not create meaningful redundancy.
Expansion and processing
Three Mini-YGDAI expansion slots support additional interface formats. The CL1 includes channel processing, Premium Rack models, effects, graphic EQs, scenes and recall controls. An optional PW800W supply can provide power redundancy alongside the console’s internal supply.
The CL series is discontinued but remains widely used. Show files should be checked against the console firmware and the exact I/O rack configuration before the hire.
