The Epson EB-PU2220B is a 20,000-lumen 3LCD laser projector with native WUXGA resolution, HDR support and Epson 4K Enhancement. It is not a native 4K projector; the enhancement system uses pixel shifting to increase displayed detail.
Lens and brightness
The projector body is supplied without a standard lens. Choose the interchangeable lens from the required image width and measured throw distance. Epson supports lenses covering approximately 0.35:1 to 7.41:1, with the exact range, shift and screen size determined by the selected lens.
Epson rates white and colour light output at 20,000 lumens in normal mode and 14,000 lumens in economy mode. Real output at the screen varies with the lens, zoom, image size, calibration, screen surface and ambient light.
Inputs and installation
Connections include HDMI, HDBaseT, DVI-D, VGA and 3G-SDI input and output. Ethernet, RS-232 and optional wireless control are also available. Built-in tools support lens memory, edge blending, stacking and geometric correction.
The optical engine and laser module are IP5X rated for dust resistance. This does not make the whole projector weatherproof: protect it from rain, condensation and unsuitable outdoor conditions.
For flown or elevated use, specify a compatible Epson mount or rated rental frame, use all required fixing points and fit an appropriate secondary safety. Installation and rigging must be completed by competent personnel.
