Lab Gruppen IPD 2400 amplifier hire

A compact two-channel 1U amplifier delivering up to 2 × 1,200 W at 4 ohms, with built-in DSP and Ethernet control.

Lab Gruppen IPD 2400

The Lab Gruppen IPD 2400 is a two-channel, 1U Class-D power amplifier with built-in loudspeaker DSP. It delivers up to 1,200 W per channel into 4 ohms, 600 W per channel into 8 ohms or 800 W per channel into 2 ohms, with both channels driven. The channels are not bridgeable.

Inputs, outputs and DSP

The amplifier accepts two analogue inputs and one two-channel AES3 digital input, all on XLR, with corresponding link outputs. Loudspeaker outputs are available on speakON NL4 connectors and binding posts.

Its internal DSP provides input mixing, high- and low-pass filters, crossover functions, parametric EQ, input and output delay, and output limiting. Presets can be stored for repeatable system setups. Ethernet is used for control and monitoring with Lab Gruppen’s IntelliDrive software; it is not a Dante audio connection.

Power and physical details

The IPD 2400 is 1U high, 483 mm wide and 431 mm deep including handles and rear supports. It weighs 6.2 kg. The universal power supply accepts 100–240 V AC, and the locking IEC inlet helps prevent accidental disconnection.

Cooling runs from front to back through a variable-speed fan. Leave the front and rear airflow unobstructed and allow enough rack depth for connectors and cable bend radius.

Planning the system

Amplifier power must be matched to the loudspeaker impedance, power handling and manufacturer-approved processing. The headline 2,400 W figure is the combined maximum output, not 2,400 W per channel. Use the correct preset and limiter values for the connected cabinets.

We can supply the amplifier loose or in a wired rack with mains distribution, signal cabling and NL4 speaker outputs. Network control requires a wired Ethernet connection or a suitable access point; audio remains on the analogue or AES3 inputs.

What to tell us

  • Loudspeaker model, quantity and nominal impedance per channel.
  • Whether the source is analogue or AES3.
  • Required crossover, EQ and limiter preset.
  • Rack and mains-distribution requirements.
  • Speaker-cable lengths and connector wiring.
  • Whether remote Ethernet control is required.

We will configure and test the amplifier against the specified loudspeaker system before it leaves.
