The Yamaha TF1 is a compact 48 kHz digital mixing console with 32 mono input channels, two stereo channels, two effects returns, 20 aux buses, a stereo bus and a sub bus. The surface has 16 channel faders plus one master fader.
Local and remote I/O
The rear panel provides 16 recallable mic/line inputs on XLR/TRS combo sockets, two stereo RCA inputs and 16 XLR outputs. The console can mix more channels than it has local inputs, but reaching those channels requires additional I/O.
Dante is optional through the Yamaha NY64-D expansion card. With that card fitted, the TF1 can connect to compatible Dante stage boxes such as the Tio1608-D. Do not assume every TF1 has Dante; the card and stage box must be included in the system specification.
Recording and processing
A USB connection provides 34 channels of recording and 34 channels of playback with a computer. The separate USB storage function handles two-track recording and playback. Onboard processing includes eight effects processors and ten graphic EQs.
System planning
For a simple local setup, the TF1 offers 16 microphone inputs and 16 outputs without a stage box. A larger or remotely located input system needs the NY64-D, Dante cabling, stage boxes and appropriate network configuration.
