The Yamaha QL1 is a compact 48 kHz digital mixing console with 32 mono input channels, eight stereo input channels, 16 mix buses and eight matrices. It can be rack-mounted and is suited to systems that need a smaller surface without giving up Yamaha’s Dante workflow.
Local and Dante I/O
The console provides 16 local analogue mic/line inputs and eight analogue outputs. Built-in Dante carries up to 32 inputs and 32 outputs through primary and secondary network ports.
A job needing more than 16 local microphone sockets requires a compatible Dante stage box or other networked I/O. Redundant Dante operation requires separate primary and secondary paths with suitable switches and cabling.
Control and recording
The surface has 16 channel faders plus two master faders. It includes channel processing, effects, graphic EQ, scenes, recall controls and gain compensation. USB memory supports stereo recording; multitrack recording over Dante requires appropriate computer software and network capacity.
The QL series is discontinued, so show-file, firmware and I/O compatibility should be checked before the event rather than assumed.
